Cancellation Policies

Open Angler allows providers to choose among three standardized cancellation policies (Flexible, Moderate, and Strict) that we will enforce to protect both customer and providers alike for confirmed bookings. Please note that cancellation policies apply only to confirmed bookings; booking requests are not subject to any penalties for all parties. Each listing and reservation on our site will clearly state the cancellation policy. Customers may cancel and review any penalties by viewing their travel plans and then clicking 'Cancel' on the appropriate reservation. With all policies:

  • Optional fees are always refunded if the guest did not complete trip.

  • The Open Angler service fee is non-refundable.

  • If there is a complaint from either party, notice must be given to Open Angler within 24 hours of trip date.

  • Open Angler will mediate when necessary, and has the final say in all disputes.

  • A reservation is officially cancelled when a user clicks the cancellation button on the cancellation confirmation page, which they can find in Dashboard > Your Trips > Booking Details > Change or Cancel.

  • Cancellation policies may be superseded by the Guest Refund Policy, safety cancellations, or extenuating circumstances.

 

Flexible: Full refund 1 day prior to arrival, except fees

For a full refund, cancellation must be made a full 24 hours prior to a trip’s local check in time (or 8:00 AM if not specified) on the day of check in. For example, if check-in is on Saturday, cancel by Friday of that week before check in time.

 

  • Cancellation must be made 24 hour before check-in to receive full refund on payment amount.

  • If the guest cancels less than 24 hours before check-in, the payment amount is non-refundable.

 

Moderate: Full refund 7 days prior to arrival, except fees

For a full refund, cancellation must be made seven full days prior to the trip’s local check in time (or 8:00 AM if not specified) on the day of check in. For example, if check-in is on Saturday, cancellation must be made by the previous Saturday before check in time.

 

  • Cancellation must be made 7 days prior to trip departure for full refund on payment amount

  • If the guest cancels less than 7 days in advance, the payment amount and service fees will be forfeited. 

 

Strict: No refund at anytime.

Full refund is un-available at anytime.  Your payment amount and any services will be forfeited upon cancellation. 

 

  • At no time is a full refund available. 

  • If the guest cancels for any reason the payment amount is non-refundable.
