Guest Refunds

The Guest Refund Policy supports guests in the event they experience a travel issue. A travel issue generally falls into one of two categories:

(1) The guide cancels the reservation shortly before check-in or fails to show for a confirmed reservation

(2) The trip booked is misrepresented or lacks in promised amenities or items.

To make a claim, contact Customer Service at support@openangler.com.

In the event a refund is granted under the Guest Refund Policy, you may apply your payment to another trip or a full refund will be returned, and no payment will be made to the guide

The following are scenarios addressed by the Guest Refund Policy. The guest arrived for the trip and notified Open Angler within 24 hours that it was:

  • Missing a material amenity promised on the site in either the listing’s description, amenities, or photos.
  • Not the type of the listing that was booked.
  • Unsanitary, unsafe, or hazardous to the health of you and/or your guests.

The Guest Refund Policy is available to all Open Angler guests who have booked on the site, no matter the destination they’re traveling to or their country of residence. The Guest Refund Policy is not insurance and does not replace your traveler’s insurance. Make sure you review and understand the terms of your insurance policy and what it covers and does not cover.

Once you receive notification that you'll be receiving a refund, your billing receipt is updated to include the refund amount. In general, authorization voids and refunds issued to credit cards can take 5-7 business days to be reflected on your statement after they are processed by Open Angler. Some refunds issued to international credit cards occasionally take up to 30 days to be reflected.

Open Angler observes a 3 strike policy for its guides.  Should a guide receive 3 granted refund requests for misrepresentation or failure to show for a confirmed reservation, the guide will removed from the Open Angler network and will be prohibited from listing on the network.
